I first learned about stillness in a swamp.  As a very young child, I spent countless hours behind our house, catching frogs and subconsciously absorbing the rhythms of nature.  In the years since, I have come to appreciate how rare and precious this gift really is.  Finding time to relax and appreciate, to cultivate a deep sense of gratitude, sometimes feels like just another task to put on the calendar.
 

These pages contain samples of subjects that have inspired me to pause in appreciation of things, events, and phenomena that I could not have dreamed of, let alone created.  With my images, I hope to offer you a pause; a breath and a moment out of time to consider what is

precious and fleeting.
